Tracking

$200 / Day

Always by the day, never by the hour.

I hate the idea of per-hour studio time. The last thing an artist needs is to feel the clock ticking as they desperately try to finish a vocal take, before they’re charged another hour.

Larger commercial studios typically charge at least $1,000 a day. This usually does not include an engineer.

As an artist myself, I want to make this as stress-free as possible. That’s why I offer flexible daily booking. Come in a day at a time, don’t worry about going until midnight (or slightly beyond, that’s okay too!). I work as early and as late as you need me.

What are you paying for?

By booking days at Redwood studios, you have access to quality instruments, microphones, outboard preamps & compressors, and my expertise. The engineering fee is included in this rate, so don’t sweat it. Unlike other engineers, I make sure to spend the time to get good sounds. If you capture a good sound, you’ll have a good mix (and so on so forth).

Mixing

$200 / Track

Attention to detail is my thing.

A hybrid approach is taken at Redwood Studios, meaning I run analog gear alongside “in the box” mixing. I’m always trying to cut a deal for an artist, so if you would like to book-in-bulk, there is wiggle room for an album or EP.

A mix from me doesn’t just include mixing. Clients always get deliverables that include stems, instrumentals, alt mixes, raw multitracks, and unlimited revisions. Plus, included is editing to your heart’s content.

Check out the “Start to finish” deal down below if you’re interested in having me engineer, mix, and master your single, EP, or whole record.

Mastering

$80 / Master

Mastering is important.

A fresh pair of ears is vital to a proper master. That’s why I try to always have a week buffer between finishing a mix and mastering. A good or bad mastering job could be the difference between your song not translating well to streaming platforms, leading to bad performance, or your song being a hit.

From start to finish

(and other deals)

TBD / Project

Committing to tracking, mixing, and mastering your project at Redwood Studios will be cheaper all together.

If you’re goal is a single, an EP, or an album, deciding to turn over all the dirty work to me, allows me to discount the overall price. There is no solid price point for this, as I treat this as a “case by case” basis.

If you decide to hunker down for maybe a couple weeks to take your time in the studio, I will also bring down the price overall.

Let’s talk, I’d love to make things easier for you!
